Deadline for Registering with FEMA is March 10, 2025

The first step to receive FEMA assistance is to apply. There are four ways to apply: call the toll-free FEMA Helpline at 1-800-621-3362, visit DisasterAssistance.gov, download the FEMA App or visit a Disaster Recovery Center. The phone line is open daily from 7 a.m. to midnight PT, and help is available in most languages. The deadline to apply for assistance for the wildfires is March 10, 2025.

Disaster Recovery Centers

Two FEMA Disaster Recovery Centers are open now in Los Angeles County to assist Californians who experienced damage to their primary home, personal property loss or have disaster-caused emergency needs related to the wildfires. At the center, people can get help applying for federal assistance, speak to representatives from state and federal agencies, receive updates on their FEMA application for assistance, and learn about the appeals process.
